Dominik joined Findependent in September 2026. He came to software from mechanical engineering, where he worked as a technical designer, before earning his Bachelor's degree in computer science at HSR Rapperswil (now OST). He started his career in Java backend development in eCommerce, then moved on to a Zurich-based startup, where he found his passion for mobile. He went on to help build one of the highest-rated apps in the financial sector from the ground up at Zürcher Kantonalbank.

Between startups, large corporations and freelance work, he has learned to adapt to very different ways of building software. His focus has since expanded toward full-stack development. Outside of work, he builds his own apps and explores everything he can about AI — and when he is not at a screen, he is usually hiking, sailing or bouldering.
